Here's a new idea to consider before you go on to teaching harder behaviors.

Most dogs do not "generalize" well. This means if you train inside, when you take your training outside, they seem to not remember. Or they may seem to understand the word "sit", but only if you're standing in front of them, not when you're laying on the couch. This is completely normal! Luckily, it doesn't take them as long to relearn in a new place ("generalize") a cue you have already taught. The more you practice "generalizing", the better they will get at it.

Here is a new behavior to work on, one of the most useful behaviors around the house!
